Nimbus is looking for a Web Developer to augment our technical team at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The candidate should have a passion for keeping up-to-date on the latest technologies and envisioning the potential benefits the technologies can bring to CMS and a desire for continuous learning and application of that knowledge into practice.

Candidates are required to be in the commuting distance from CMS and be available to work from our client site at 7120 Ambassador Road MD 21244

Position Description:

Provide day to day web developer support to one or more program teams at CMS


Develop working knowledge of the programs supporting. Understand content management systems to help make recommendations for improvements and/or enhancements. On a regular bases interfaces with business owners, other CMS components and/or contractors. Develop working relationship with project managers and business owners to ensure that the final product adheres to the predetermined budget, scope, and design. Deliverables will be well designed and testable by using best software development practices. Responsible for testing, maintaining, and completing updates throughout the lifecycle of the website.Work with business owners and other stakeholders to develop and document web performance metrics to establish a baseline and maintain them as new content is published. Applies and uses various web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's to execute business owners’ objectives and needs. Understands and applies back-end web analytics tools, Search Engine Optimization protocols, security requirements and best development practices. Applies strong written and oral communication skills, a solid grasp of graphic and visual design, and exceptional time management capabilities to assigned projects. Delivers weekly status updates on assignments and recommendations for each specific assignment. Trouble-shoots issues quickly and stays up-to-date on current and emerging technologies, standards, and trends.
